Clean Fast great food! Very friendly service!
Love this Maine restaurant with the freshest seafood. We had the Lobster special sandwich and cup of clam chowder with oyster crackers. The bread was over flowing with lobster. From the minute we ordered our meal, delivered to our table and the follow up, our service was impeccable. Everyone there was so nice and the restaurant offers seating indoor and outdoors. Decor selection matches what you expect Maine to represent. Highly recommend Brown's Clam Shanty!
Sunday funday! Nice stop to try a new place or go to a local favorite! This was our first time and the food was great! Husband and I both ordered crab rolls and seafood chowder. Chowder had a butter milky thick base which was amazing and full of seafood. Fish, scallops, clams, potatoes. Would definitely have order this again. The crab rolls had plenty of filling and not a lot of mayo (which is my preference). Served with a bag of sea salt potato chips which is always the best pairing. Staff was really pleasant with plenty of people on hand. Food came quickly and without any issues. Hidden gem!
We came in for an early lunch. Had the place to ourself for a while. Food was amazing. I don't generally care for fried seafood. It's almost always over cooked. Browns was the exception. My scallops were perfect. Still juicy and flavorful not dried out. We'll be back again and again and again. The chowder here is one of our favorites
Went in for lunch and saw their North Shore Roast Beef sandwiches, so I had to try it. I got the three way, which is roast beef, American cheese, Mayo, and James River BBQ sauce on a toasted bun. They told me they cook their own roast beef and you can tell. It was warm, tender, juicy, with great flavor. Best roast beef around. Their fried seafood is always on point, but will be back for the roast beef as well!!
The food was great. Fresh and prepared right away. They had some specials with fried fish and lobster rolls...just delicious. The staff was super friendly. Seating outside, enough distance from other people.
The fried clams were fantastic and the outside seating is clean and well kept. Service was quick and friendly.
Wandered in not expecting much and far exceeded my expectations. Seafood chowder was worth a second visit that day. Staff was outstanding. Wish I lived within walking walking distance.
